Uninsulated chimney chase

Infrared inspection shows a chimney chase that is open to the attic and uninsulated. Many homes lose energy through uninsulated chases behind walls that are open to the attic above. Large area on both sides of the fireplace is 90+ degrees F. This is equivalent to having a big heat radiator in the house when trying to keep it cool in the summer.
